These terms set out the agreement between you and Solar Quotes Ireland when you use this website to request solar, battery, EV charger or heat pump quotes. By submitting a quote request or using the site, you accept these terms.
1. About this service
Solar Quotes Ireland is a free quote-matching service for homeowners and property occupiers in the Republic of Ireland. We connect you with up to three SEAI-registered installers in your county who are then introduced to your enquiry and may contact you with a quote.
The service is operated by Solar Quotes Ireland, registered in Ireland, 14 The Meadows, Ballyporeen, Co. Tipperary, E21 E260, Companies Registration Office number 786597.
2. What we do — and what we don't
We do:
- Take the property and project details you submit through the quote form.
- Match them against installers in our network who serve your county.
- Pass your enquiry to up to three of those installers.
- Maintain editorial content (cost guides, grant guides, county pages) sourced from SEAI, gov.ie, CRU and Revenue.
We do not:
- Perform installation work of any kind. We are not an installer and we are not Safe Electric registered.
- Quote you ourselves. The installers in our network quote you.
- Act as agent for the installers or for you. Any contract for installation is directly between you and the installer you choose.
- Guarantee that an installer will quote you, contact you within a specific timeframe, or accept the job.
3. Installer independence and quote accuracy
The installers in our network are independent contractors. We verify that each installer is on the live SEAI registered companies list and holds Safe Electric / RECI certification at the time we add them to the network, and we re-check periodically. We do not directly supervise the work an installer carries out for you.
Quotes that installers provide are theirs, not ours. Any survey, design, installation, warranty, certification (NC6/NC7), grant declaration of works, or post-install support is governed by the contract you sign with the installer. Editorial cost ranges published on this site (for example "€6,000–€18,000 before grant") are guide figures sourced from market research and SEAI data — your actual quote will depend on your roof, your property, your system size and the installer's own pricing.
4. Eligibility to use the site
To submit a quote request you must:
- Be 18 or over.
- Be the owner of the property — or have the owner's permission to obtain installation quotes for that property.
- Be requesting a quote for a property in the Republic of Ireland.
- Submit accurate information. Misrepresenting property type, ownership or contact details may result in your enquiry being declined.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information through the quote form.
- Use the site to harvest installer contact details for any purpose other than receiving a quote for your property.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt.
- Reproduce, republish or rebrand editorial content from the site without written permission. Quoting short passages with attribution and a link is fine.
- Interfere with the site's normal operation or attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
6. Intellectual property
The content of this site — written guides, comparison tables, custom calculators, schema, code, design, the Solar Quotes Ireland name and the SolarQuotesIreland.ie wordmark — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may read and share individual pages, including by linking to them. You may not republish substantial portions, train commercial AI systems on the content at scale, or use our name to imply endorsement of an installer that is not in our network.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Irish law:
- We provide the site and the matching service on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties about the suitability of any specific installer for your job, the accuracy of any specific quote you receive, or the technical performance of any installation.
- Editorial information on the site (cost guides, grant guides, payback estimates) is general guidance, not professional advice tailored to your property. Always rely on the written quote from an SEAI-registered installer who has surveyed your home, and on the live SEAI / gov.ie / CRU pages for current grant and policy details.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the site or the matching service is limited to €100, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Irish law.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from the acts or omissions of an installer, including but not limited to installation defects, grant declarations, delays, or breach of contract between you and the installer.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law.
8. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in full in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms. By submitting a quote request you confirm you have read and accepted that notice.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by us directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
11. Contact
